Life’s details overwhelm me, especially now, and I use the camera’s frame to distill them. My work embraces a hybrid approach to photography; analog and digital processes seamlessly coexist in the service of concept. Influenced by notions of domesticity and the roles assumed by women who inhabit domestic spaces, I consider alternative photographic processes from a subjective point of view, photographing interiors and their surfaces using straight-forward and random double exposures. Physical manifestations of “home” inform my work, while architectural details and ordinary objects populate the images, imbuing them with the residue of human activity.
